Dan Baldwin and Charles Dada Originals FOR SALE « Result #26 on Oct 16, 2008, 5:36pm »
Hi all,
I'm greatly needing to move closer to London, so to work closer with the Art scene there, and needing to raise a little wanga to back the move. So it is with great regret that im offering to sell a couple of my peices. Dan Baldwins great Country Life to Poltics and Charles Dada 's, the Weeping Venice.
a little details on both
Country Life to Politics
Country Life & Politics is the transitional peice showing the move from Dan Baldwin's 'Country Life' series to the 'Politics' Series.
This magnificent and very important peice is also painted on a canvas like no other, with smooth curved edges allowing the painting to continue round all 4 sides of the painting. This is the only peice of Dans work on a canvas like this. Making it a very beautiful impressive and rare peice.
incase the images don't load, go to the State of Art Gallery link below where it is up for sale at the moment.

& proudly presents...
Luke Insect 'GOLDEN KISS' Screen prints Signed and numbered by the artist. Limited Edition of 150 and 50 Size 70cm x 50cm.
24 karat Gold (green print only)
Luke started the design collective 'INSECT' with his partner Paul 10 years ago, scaring the design and illustration community with their dark, surreal style and nightmarish imagery.
This year sees the launch of his own studio specializing in art direction and illustration for the music, fashion and youth industries, with a style that incorporates Pop Art, 1960's and 1970's counter-culture and all things dark and twisted. The artist also co-runs a record label called 'Battered Ornament's'.
Luke has been branching out into clothing recently with collaborations with 'Levi's' and 'Diesel', and after completing visuals for 'The Prodigy', Luke sent the band a 'Golden Kiss' artist proof print.
Project One: Icons Exhibition arrives in the North « Result #35 on Sept 10, 2008, 12:01pm »
Project One: ICONS
The emergence of a 21st Century Renaissance in POP and Urban Art Culture
Paintings, sculpture, and prints by Peter Blake, Gerald Laing, and David Mach, alongside a new generation of International 21st century artists
108 Fine Art, 108 West End Avenue, Harrogate HG2 9BT
20th September – 11th October 2008
Highlights to be shown at the British Art Fair, Royal College of Art, London, 10-14th September 2008
A highly innovative and ambitious International exhibition of artists working at the forefront of POP and Urban art will shortly be on display in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. From modest beginnings the initial idea of creating an exhibition reflecting current interest in contemporary Urban art has evolved into a much larger, inspired project involving work from the original innovators of POP art such as Gerald Laing, Dudley Edwards and Peter Blake, through to David Mach and Julian Opie. The exhibition has been organized by 108 Fine Art, in collaboration with the artists and guest curators Richard McTague and Jon Kendall of RedHouse Originals.
International artists will feature prominently with Charles Lutz from Brooklyn (first UK exhibition), Blek Le Rat and Space Invader from France and Mimmo Rotella from Italy. A visit to the artist Blek Le Rat’s studio on the outskirts of Paris has resulted in two of the artist most important early works being sent to the UK for the ICONS exhibition. The exhibition will also be the first opportunity in the U.K. to view original works directly from the studio of Brooklyn based artist Charles Lutz whose ‘Warhol Denied’ images and recent paintings and sculpture are attracting a surge of interest both here and in the U.S.
Two of the U.K.’s most dynamic and expressive figurative sculptors, Tim Shaw and Michael Sandle have agreed to participate in this seminal exhibition, their use of iconic internationally known images and symbols resonating with the essence of their time: Michael Sandle’s use of Mickey Mouse in his incredible A 20th Century Memorial (now in the Tate Collection) and Tim Shaw’s black bin bag and wax sculptures Man On Fire and Prisoner at Abu Ghraib produced in a response to the horrific images of torture and state terrorism, captured by the media and broadcast across the world.
The crossover between those working with music and art has also become a major aspect of the exhibition, with early original Sex Pistols artwork from Jamie Reid, original paintings by Goldie, and the inspired artwork of James Cauty formerly of the KLF. Live music will also feature, with The Prelude, one of the most exciting and energetic bands to have emerged from Northern Ireland in the past decade agreeing to participate in the celebrations. The Prelude will perform live in the gas-lit setting of Hales Bar, Harrogate 10pm – 1am, Friday 19th September. Guest DJ’s will also play on the evening.
A hand finished limited edition print by Neverwork will also be released to mark the launch of the ICONS exhibition.
A forty page fully illustrated limited edition catalogue has been produced for the event. Project One: ICONS will be the one of the most innovative exhibitions to have been held at 108 Fine Art. Project Two will be announced in January 2009.

At long last - my print collection sale has finally kick started.
I decided to sell the Banksy ‘Monkey Queen’ privately which has now gone to a good home! But everything else will be going onto Ebay.
Here are the starting auctions, more will follow of other prints I have. Those of you who had previously wanted to see photos, I’ve added loads up on each auction using Photobucket! I’m becoming quite the Ebay seller! I’ve decided to sell now because I’ve got no cash right now and want to buy a watercolour by a friend of mine.

Hello! It was madness yesterday... Very random release of prints. I wish Mr B prints went on sale like that. Too much £££ for me, but nice all the same.
I can see it might look expensive at first glance but when you think its only editions of 10 for the skulls when was the last time you saw any edition as small as 10?
Personally I think that the days of cheap prints are over/for more established artists like Banksy, Micallef, Faile etc.../ And edition of 10? Detto!
